commetnary: Dear Arthur Sulzberger jr NYTIMES - food for thought
Dear Arthur Sulzberger jr it’s good to see you on facebook not because it is facebook but because you need to hear not from the choir nor your consultants who tell you what they think you want to hear but from we the people who make up this social-sculpture that we share called life - yesterdays science fiction is todays science - and i write this so maybe you can suspend your mind for moment and understand that we are in a conversation revolution an experience revolution and not an information revolution, its not about consuming information but about a conversation and experiencing our shared humanity - the future of the news as we know it in five, ten years will be driven as it always has been by “we the people” not by the gate keepers of yesterday - and its a wake up call if you listen carefully you can hear the future saying - we don’t trust all that’s fit to print - we the people have a voice and vehicle that in all its fragmentation is our voice - and that voice is a social movment that someday in the near future our leaders will order us go to some war, because that is what they do - we the people don’t go to war its our leaders who know the power of fear and the fear of power - its their and now it appears your job to trade in fear & war - like in burma it only needs a one person to stand up and say hell no - and nobody will show up - today its blogs tomorrow its facebook and after that who knows but one thing is certain the NY Times is believing in its own propaganda if you don’t start to listen to “we the people” their is lack in confidence and trust in media, government and business and that is where the trouble lies because it is not seen as an independent lens as Thomas Jefferson said “he would rather see a strong free press then a strong government” the press/media is seen by many as the mistress of business (the king) and government (the queen) and the world is changing and more and more people are thinking for themselves and not believing in the propaganda makers version of the story - food for thought - geo
